A small number of users are having issues updating their Scrolls clients. Sorry about that! Here’s a quick post to help get things running again.
Reinstall from Mojang.com – try this first!
The easiest way to fix a client that doesn’t update properly is to uninstall and and resinstall from the Mojang webpage. Here’s how to do that:
- Uninstall Scrolls from your Mac/PC
- Log into https://account.mojang.com/me
- Download the Scrolls client and let it update
- Sign in and play!
If you’re one of the very few who still encounter issues, there is another way to fix your client.
If reinstalling doesn’t work on Windows
- Hit Win+R to bring up a Run window.
- Enter %appdata%/../local/mojang/scrolls and hit enter.
- If there is no “game” folder here, right-click and select “New->Folder”, then name it “game”.
- Open the game.zip file, which you should find in the same folder.
- Extract the zip file into the game folder.
- Sign in and play!
If reinstalling doesn’t work on Mac/OSX
- Hit Command + Shift + G, type /Applications/Scrolls.app/Contents/MacOS then hit enter.
- Double click the “game.zip file”.
- If there is no “game” folder here, hit Command + Shift + N and name the new folder “game”.
- Drag the MacScrolls file into the game folder.
- Sign in and play!
We hope that fixes your issues. Enjoy Scrolls!
